I am currently serving as a district and campus administrator and have been a highly effective, certified educator for over a decade. I’ve received hundreds of hours of professional development on effective and contemporary pedagogy from Rice University’s College of Education.  I am passionate about teaching and learning and have been a practicing tutor for 20 years. I consider myself very professional and always strive to build rapport with all of my clients. As an educator, I was nominated for district teacher of the year. Over the years, I’ve achieved great gains in my students’ academic achievement, as measured through their standardized, AP and college board tests.

My view is that learning is an active, constructive process in which the learner strategically manages their available cognitive resources to create new knowledge by extracting information from the environment and integrating it with information already stored in memory. I also believe that scaled, contemporary technological medium and sound, engaging and motivating instructional methods have an integral relationship and are part of the design of the learning construct, which is to appropriately and efficiently use an available medium’s cognitively related capabilities to compliment and far extend the learner’s prior knowledge and cognitive skill. Technological media, by itself does not dramatically increase learning.

I look forward to putting my skills to work for you and in helping you achieve all of your academic goals!
